David Hutton
Chief Executive Officer, Retail & Communities Asia Pacific |  | Appointed to current role in May 2007 and based in Sydney, Australia.


David started his career in retail management before joining Lend Lease in 1988. He has held numerous senior positions including CEO of Lend Lease Europe, COO of Lend Lease Development, and CEO of Lend Lease Retail Asia Pacific.


David’s achievements include the development of multiple new regional shopping centres in Australia and Europe (the largest being Bluewater in Kent England), the launch of Lend Lease’s first UK investment fund, the conversion of Greenwich Peninsular (the UK’s largest regeneration project), and a number of large mixed-use projects.


David has significant experience in retail development, fund, asset and property management in addition to high-density residential and mixed-use projects. He has also negotiated and managed numerous joint venture structures with both government and private sector partners.


David has a Bachelor of Business (with distinction) from Charles Sturt University, formal qualifications in retail management and is a licensed real estate agent.

Nigel Hugill
Chairman, Lend Lease Europe |  | Appointed in August 2005 and based in London, UK.


Nigel joined Lend Lease from Chelsfield, where he was Managing Director. Under his direction, Chelsfield developed some of London's most strategic projects and by 2004 the company was valued at over £2.5 billion - nearly ten times the valuation of the company in 1993, when it was floated on the London Stock Exchange.


Nigel has an MA in Politics, Philosophy and Economics from Oxford University and an MSc in Labour Law and Business Economics from the London School of Economics. He also has a diploma in corporate finance from the London Business School.


He is a non-executive director of British Waterways and a recent member of the UK Government's appointed Review Panel to advise on the proposed merger of the Housing Corporation and English Partnerships. He is Treasurer and Vice Chairman of the Architecture Foundation, Deputy Chairman of the Residential Committee of the British Property Federation and Fellow of The Royal Society.

Robin Butler
Deputy Chairman, Lend Lease Europe |  | Appointed to current role in March 2007 and based in London, UK.


Since joining Lend Lease in mid 2005, Robin has been instrumental in the acquisition of Crosby Homes and in developing new business within the regeneration sector. He is a staunch believer in creating sustainable multi-functional developments which reflect the social, economic and environmental needs of the community.


Robin was a founding director of Chelsfield plc in 1986. During his 19 years at Chelsfield, Robin was central to securing and developing several of the largest and most successful retail and mixed-use community projects in the UK including Paddington Basin, Stratford and White City. Robin was passionately involved in the major urban regeneration project at Brierley Hill to link Brierley Hill High Street, The Waterfront and Merry Hill to form an integrated town centre.

Daniel Labbad
Chief Executive Officer, UK |  | Appointed to current role in March 2008 and based in London, UK.


Daniel first joined Lend Lease in 1997 as a site engineer based in Sydney, Australia. In 1999 Daniel became Project Director for the $AU500M upgrade of Sydney International Airport in preparation for the 2000 Olympics. After Sydney Airport Daniel became the inaugural Chief Executive of, a non-profit community development organisation, building the business to a team of 20 people with projects around Australia.


Returning to Lend Lease in 2005 Daniel developed and implemented a Sustainability Transformation Plan for the Lend Lease group; initiating the Sustainability Measurement criteria and global reporting requirements which resulted in the production of Lend Lease’s inaugural Sustainability report in 2005.


Prior to March 2008, Daniel was the Chief Operating Officer of Lend Lease Retail & Communities – UK with direct operational responsibility for Lend Lease Retail, Lend Lease and major projects.

Rodney Vaughan Fehring
Chief Executive Officer, Lend Lease Ventures |  | Rod Fehring was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Lend Lease Ventures in May 2007 and is based in Melbourne, Sydney.


In the role of Chief Executive Officer, Lend Lease Ventures, Rod is responsible for working with all Lend Lease businesses to screen and identify emerging technologies / ideas that could drive new growth; and actively invest in the transition of new technologies into new business streams whilst ensuring that invested businesses are adequately capitalised and resourced to operate effectively within Lend Lease’s minority shareholding.


Rod has more than 25 years’ experience in the Australian property sector and previously worked for Delfin Ltd for 6 years before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Delfin Lend Lease in November 2001. Subsequently, Rod was responsible for the Lend Lease Communities business in Asia Pacific for a period of nearly 6 years.


Rod has a Bachelor of Applied Science and Graduate Diplomas in both Urban & Regional Planning and Sports Administration (Facilities) and has completed the Advanced Management Program at Wharton Business School, Philadelphia, USA.


Rod is a member of the Planning Institute of Australian and a Trustee of the Melbourne Cricket Ground Trust.
