Catalyst Lend Lease is a skilled and specialist business operating exclusively in the Private Finance Initiative (PFI) and Public Private Partnership (PPP) markets in the UK and Ireland. The business focuses on three main sectors of Education, Healthcare and Waste Management, where it has developed a successful integrated offering.
Founded in the 1990s, the company currently has a portfolio of 30 assets in operation and a further five under construction. The total value of these assets is circa £2.5 billion. Each new PFI bid requires a separate consortium and these are led by Catalyst Lend Lease, with Bovis Lend Lease providing the construction expertise and a major financial institution frequently acting as investment partner.
Many projects, particularly in healthcare, also involve services such as catering, laundry and portering, which are subcontracted to a specialist Facilities Management provider, while another group company, Vita Lend Lease, maintains the completed assets for the duration of the contract, helping to ensure they retain their long-term value.
